Privacy policy

What we collect

We collect only what you provide or generate while using the product: your email address and password hash, drafts you submit for rephrasing, tone variants generated, style picks you make, your uploaded resume, saved job-application answers, and API keys you create. We also record technical metadata for security and abuse prevention: IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps of authentication and other sensitive actions in an audit log.

How we use your information

Your data is used solely to provide the services you request. Drafts are sent to our language model providers to produce tone variants and answers. Your picks and edits train only your personal profile so future suggestions match your voice. We do not sell your data, and your inputs are never used to train third-party public models.

Conversations, meetings, and delivery

• The notetaker bot records only when you start it: Poise does not join calls uninvited or listen continuously in the background. The bot enters a meeting or starts local audio capture only when you explicitly trigger it, and you can stop recording at any second.
• Drafts are never sent without you: Follow-up emails, proposal messages, support notes, and tone variants remain drafts for your review. Poise never sends messages on your behalf; you review the text and press send in your own client.
• Automatic attendee recap is strictly opt-in: Post-call debriefs and action items are private to your workspace by default. Recaps are never shared with other meeting attendees unless you explicitly enable attendee recap delivery in Settings.

Where data lives

Data is stored on infrastructure we operate. We work with a small number of vetted sub-processors for essential functions such as email transport and model inference. All traffic is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not share data beyond what is required to provide the application.

Your controls

• Export everything associated with your account as JSON from Settings.
• Delete your account at any time. This permanently removes your resume, requests, picks, saved answers, active sessions, and API keys.
• Revoke individual browser sessions or choose sign out everywhere from Settings.
• Create and revoke API keys at will.
• Bring your own AI provider keys if you prefer your data not pass through default model routes.

Retention

Content data (drafts, variants, resume, answers) is retained until you delete it or delete your account. Audit log entries are kept for security purposes for up to 24 months after account deletion, with personal identifiers detached.
